Payment Terms
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These Payment Terms explain how payment works when you order from Olympus Toronto.
1. Accepted payment methods
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. The exact options available to you are shown at checkout and may depend on your device and bank.
2. Currency
Prices are shown and charged in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise at checkout. If your card is in a different currency, your bank may charge conversion or foreign transaction fees. These fees are set by your bank and are outside our control.
3. Taxes
Applicable Canadian sales taxes (GST/HST/PST/QST) are calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.
4. When you are charged
Your payment is authorised when you place your order. Your order is accepted once payment has been successfully authorised and you receive our order confirmation email. If a payment is declined, your order will not be processed.
5. Payment security
All payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment providers via Shopify. We never see or store your full card number. Your bank may ask you to verify the payment (for example with 3-D Secure).
6. Fraud checks
To protect our customers, orders may be checked for fraud. In some cases we may ask for additional information, delay shipping or cancel an order. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund the full amount to your original payment method.
7. Pricing errors
If an order was placed with an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before shipping. You can choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
8. Discounts and promotions
Discount codes and promotions must be applied at checkout and are subject to their own conditions, including end dates. Unless stated otherwise, they cannot be combined or applied after an order has been placed.
9. Refunds
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method, as described in our Return & Refund Policy. Once we have issued a refund, your bank or card issuer may take a few business days to process it.
10. Payment problems and chargebacks
If something is wrong with a payment, please contact us first at support@olympustoronto.com so we can help quickly. This does not affect your right to contact your bank. If you notice a transaction you did not authorise, contact your bank or card issuer immediately.
11. Your rights
Nothing in these Payment Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
